The conference, which took place from 16 to 19 March at the University of Bonn, focused on research and applications at the interface of mathematics and life sciences and attracted about 300 participants from around the world. We attended the event as a group. Besides Benjamin’s poster, Nicole gave a selected talk titled “A population model reveals a surprising role of stochastic cell division in epigenetic memory systems” on a multi-year collaboration with Prof. Albert Jeltsch's group. Amatus Beyer also presented his work on “Model-Based Design for Morphogen-Driven Spatial Patterns in Synthetic Biology” during the poster sessions.
