Every four years a joint annual conference of the German Mathematical Association (DMV) and the Austrian Mathematical Society (ÖMG) takes place, the last one in Salzburg in 2017. The president of the DMV and the president of the ÖMG recently announced that Christian Hesse will give the public evening lecture at the next joint annual conference in Passau at the end of September 2021(!), on 28.9.2021 at 7:30-8:30 pm. Title and location to be announced.
In recent years the public evening lecture has been given by Günter M. Ziegler (2015), Walter Schachermayer (2017) and Tilman Gneiting (2019).
