Inaugural lecture of the Department of Mathematics

In the event, Jun. Prof. Marco Oesting of the Department of Mathematics, newly appointed in 2020, will introduce himself with his inaugural lecture: "Going to Extremes: Statistical Modelling of Rare Events".

Finally, after nearly two years of Corona-related postponement, on June 20, 2022, Jun.-Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Marco Oesting presented his inaugural lecture at the Department of Mathematics on "Going to Extremes: Statistical Modelling of Rare Events".

At the subsequent reception with refreshing drinks and light snacks, one or the other question on the topic was explained in a pleasant atmosphere at summer temperatures.
